Do kids really think before they act?

I was at a store this past weekend and i heard a mom say to her child don't touch that! You need to think before you act. So for some reason that stuck to me really hard and i started to think. Do kids really think before they act? I was THINKING maybe kids just tend to do things for the moment, but is that classified as thinking? So i started to reminisce about when i was a kid a plenty of stories flew into my mind............ Like one time when I was eight and one day I found this bungee cord that cars use for holding things like coolers and what not laying in my yard so, I was THINKING about what can I do with this bungee cord. Well at the time I love to climb trees so i decided to climb this tree in my yard with this bungee cord. Now I am at the top of this tree with this bungee cord THINKING what if i bungee jumped that would be fun. So i hook the bungee cord to one of my belt loops and hook the other one to a tree branch and i look down and its a pretty high fall but I'm THINKING to myself no worries i have this sturdy bungee cord to hold me up. So I count to three ONE....TWO...THREE and jump from the top of this tree and falling, falling, and falling until the cord gave up all its length and when it took all my weight my belt loop POPPED and now i'm free falling out this tree and when i hit the ground I experienced some of the worst pain in my life. I did not attempt that bungee jump because i was not THINKING, I attempted it because I.......I still to this day don' know why i attempted that stunt but it was not because of failing to THINK. Well after i reminence about that story i was trying to still come up with a possible answer. So I though of another story while I was doing this.......... It was when i was 7 and my family from Georgia came down to visit. It was comming toward the end of the day and all of my family congradulated my older brother for their good achievments in football and art but i didn't get not one good job or keep it up so i was pretty agrivated by that. So right before they left to go back i said "do yall wanna see me do a backflip" and they replied yeah. I'm THINKING if i did a backflip that they would give me at least one good job or keep the flips up. I didnt even get a running start i just counted to three ONE....TWO....THREE.... and flipped well i felt like i was in the sky and started to turn but when i got upside down i froze and BAM fell right on my neck and once again had to experienced some of the worst pain in my life. I didn't do that backflip not because I wasn't THINKING but because of jealousy(which is a horrible emotion). After reminiscing all these stories i still don't quiet know if kids think before they act. So readersm, do kids really think before they act?
